HKUMed Strategic Translational and Research Fund
Made possible by the generous support of Mrs. Carol Murray and The D.H. Chen Foundation, the HKUMed Strategic and Translation Research Fund was established under CHART to drive innovation in the treatment and management of high-burden diseases.
The Fund supports strategically aligned projects that move beyond siloed development, prioritizing a community-centric approach. Projects should focus on interoperability and scalability to ensure that digital health technologies are built to deliver sustainable impact for patients, caregivers, and the wider community.
CHART also provides assistance in connecting projects with potential industry partners and end-user beneficiaries to maximize translational success and enhance project impact. We encourage project coordinators to contact the Centre early to discuss potential partnership opportunities.
- General Regulations and Administrative Arrangements
Submit an application:
Calls for applications will be made once a year in general, and subject to funding availability. Please refer to the CHART’s internal call for the application deadline and other information.
Each applicant should submit the following documents for consideration:
- Completed application form
- Project proposal, up to five (5) A4 pages in length, which should outline clearly the innovation elements, significant impact on health and well-being, potential impacts to the society, and collaboration with industry and community partners, etc.; and
- Brief curriculum vitae (up to 2 pages) of the Principal Applicant and Co-Applicants.
Each applicant may submit one application only. To ensure fairness for intending applicants, no late submissions will be accepted and no applications with incomplete documents will be entertained.
