CHART

The Centre for Health AI Research and Translation (CHART) provides a unique platform that facilitates innovative health AI research and accelerates the translation of clinically validated AI and big data systems in a sustainable and trusted manner.  CHART envisions to:

1. Create an AI core facility that houses dedicated AI developers and IT infrastructure to enable all AI and digital health systems to be developed and deployed to a high standard and to ensure inter-operability.
2. House the first systematic data repository dedicated to health and biomedical data in a university in Hong Kong – the HKUMed Data Commons – to provide a secure long-term data management system that supports high-quality research and deployment to the community. 
3. Build a trusted ecosystem of academic-community-industry partnership that enables clinically validated technology to be readily turned into sustainable community impact.
4. Nurture the next generation of ethical, innovative, and skilled healthcare professional and biomedical innovators who can lead the future of digital health.
